Based upon a traditional 19th century design, this chest was made almost entirely by hand, including thicknessing and jointing of boards. Pitch pine from old church pews was used, with warmth and depth coming from the high resin content which occurs in older trees. The feet and geometric drawer pulls were carved by hand in English oak. Finished in tung oil.
