All made from Ash. In nature we see forms repeating themselves, architecture sounds, rhythms repeat, ancient murmurs from the past. Natural materials breathe and move and age like us. Here, in this age and imperfection there is grace. Furniture becomes part of the architecture of the room, self-similar elements reflecting one another. This is made more apparent when all the material comes from the same one tree. A living testament to the ash tree, in the midst of struggle against ash dieback, a result of the fungus hymenoscyphus fraxineus brought on by the globalised wood trade and a lack of biodiversity in our woodlands.
